    Price:

Find on sale as low as $999 at Costco, MSRP is $1399.

    Justin’s Witty Comments:

Let me get this off my back: It is really hard NOT to like this treadmill, especially at the $999 price seen at Costco recently. In general I stay away from Keys Fitness (parent company of Ironman) products, but found on sale this treadmill represents a good value. The warranty is solid and better than just about anything I’ve seen – it includes a lifetime motor warranty. while most others are lifetime frame, 5 years or so motor.

The selling point on this is the large 8.5" LCD display that serves as both your video display (you can watch TV or hook up a DVD player/ipod/etc) and your information center (showing speed, incline, etc). The overall design and specs would make this an appropriate treadmill for all levels of users – from grandma walker to marathon runner.

My only warning is that the buyer shouldn’t be swayed by the fancy doo-dads that don’t actually improve the treadmill’s basic function. If this treadmill is what you were looking for, and happens to include that fancy TV feature, than great. But don’t buy a treadmill solely because of it – the TV is small, poor quality, and most people don’t have a TV connection near their treadmill.

A Justin said, the price at Costco is good and it has lots of extras. However, the product I received was poorly made and difficult to put together (holes were misaligned), parts were missing, and there were problems with it tripping the GFCI. After talking to Keys Fitness, they sent me a sheet with things not to do that were not included anywhere in the manual, such as to not plug int a GFCI outlet. Also they said it should be plugged into a minimum 15 amp dedicated circuit, placed on an electrostatic pad, and extension cords were not acceptable unless 14 guage. Wish I had know this ahead of time.

Thanks for the information. I have a manual but it’s not well organized…the manual finishes assembly instructions the goes into moving it then power requirements and the unnecessary explaining heart rates, warming up, to the parts list?

It says that you need a surge protector with UL 1449 rating as a transient voltage surge suppressor with a UL suppressed voltage rating of 400V or less and an electrical rating of 120VAC, 15amps.

Just got this one delivered after 2 weeks of wait. Costco.ca had discounted price of $1159. I was very disappointed with it. It worked for a minute and stopped with error code E11. Did the calibration test and got “Motor Cal fault” :-( . I spent $50 to have it moved it to my basement. Now I have to spend $100 for the movers to return it to Costco. My friend warned me about this one being made in China and suggested that I should go for Nordic Track commercial 1500 available in US. Should have heeded to his advice :-( .

      Good bye Iroman!
